Country Walk & Ride Summary

Rangemore Estates (Site B) near Burton On Trent

The permissive bridleway takes you on a route through the Needwood Forest. Although much of the woodland has disappeared the area still retains a strong rural and historic character, with Ancient woodland, old parklands, rich farmland and estate forestry blended together. The route takes you through farmland and woodland that form part of the Rangemore Estate. A Higher Level Stewardship Scheme is in place which is sympathetically managing Parkland, flower-rich pastures, providing habitat for farmland birds and protecting historic features.
