Billingsley near Holme Lacey

Use the permissive path at Billingsley Farm to link existing Rights of Way and further Countryside Stewardship Scheme (CSS) permissive access on the Holme Lacey Estate to enjoy a number of circular routes from the villages of Holme Lacey and Bolstone. Take in far reaching views across the Wye Valley and the conservation work being undertaken as part of the CSS. A number of hedges are being restored to enhance their value for wildlife and six-metre grass margins have been established to provide additional and link existing habitats across the farm. Include Upper Bolstone Wood Special Wildlife Site within a circular route. This wood id designed as a Special Wildlife Site. Oak and ash are the main species with birch and hazel, while the ground flora includes primrose, bluebell and orchid.
