Manor Farm near Aylsham

The new permissive bridleway access, marked on the map, has been provided under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme. It links in with existing public rights of way and provides circular walks and rides adjacent to the village of Calthorpe. Much of the permissive access is on the newly created grass margins which surround many of the fields.These field margins are managed to provide additional wildlife habitat and to help protect existing hedges and ditches. In addition you may notice hedgerow restoration on some field boundaries and also areas which are either specifically grown and managed for farmland birds or invertebrates, including bees and butterflies.
