Jubilee Farm, Feltwell near Feltwell

An area of land which has been taken out of arable cultivation as part of a scheme to recreate characteristic fenland wet grassland. Fen, reedbeds and wet meadows were once widespread in this part of the country but have been reduced to scattered remnants in recent decades. Consequently, the rich variety of plants and wildlife associated with fenland landscapes has become increasingly scarse. By returning this site to permanent grass, valuable habitat for fenland wildlife has been created, aswell as bringing improvements to the local landscape. Of particular interest to birdwatchers and those with an interest in natural history.
