Dene House Farm near Rothbury

This is a short route through newly planted woodland at Dene House Farm. The route takes you through the ‘ride’ that was left when the trees were planted. Although currently grassland in nature, over time this area will develop a wider range of plants that benefit from the shade of the trees as they develop. Elsewhere on the farm, hedgerows are to be restored by planting new shrubs in the gaps between the mature trees.
