Godwick Hall near Fakenham
At Godwick there is open access to over 20 hectares of one of the best surviving deserted village sites in Norfolk. Besides the earthworks, the site includes remains of Godwick Manor & barn and a 13th century church tower - information boards across the site give further details and interpret the remains. There is also a permissive footpath that can be used to link with rights of way for longer walks, giving fine views back across the historic landscape and allowing visitors to see how parts of the farm are being managed for wildlife.
