Country Walk Summary

Cow Lane Farm near Hook Norton

This one field site near Swerford gives extensive views south over the Swere Valley and the flower-rich limestone grassland below. The field itself has been taken out of arable production over twenty years ago and has slowly reverted back to traditional limestone grassland with many flower species spreading in from the adjacent meadow. During the spring and summer a large number of different wildflower species can be seen, including orchids. The site will also be full of butterflies.
