Highfield Farm A, Great Ryburgh near Fakenham
A footpath in Starmoor Wood which links the existing public footpath to Great Ryburgh Common. The path finishes in an area of fen / reedbe which is being restored through the clearance of scrub. On the way, walkers pass through an area of woodland manage by coppicing and a small area of restored heathland. You can see pingos (small pools formed by glacial activity) and a variety of wildlife, including wild flowers, butterflies, dragonflies and birds. This is a sensitive site so dogs must be kept under control. The path is not suitable for horse riding.
