Shoolbred near Dent
This route links public right of way paths and the road with open access land on the southern fells of Aye Gill Pike. The farm is managed traditionally with meadows, pasture, gill woodland and traditional field barns. The small field patterns are an attractive landscape feature of the Yorkshire Dales. The species rich meadows are being managed to conserve wild flowers such as knapweed, pignut and yellow rattle. Visits in early summer are highly recommended to view this beautiful and rare habitat.
