Country Walk & Ride Summary

Grange Farm (B) near Diss

This Higher Level Stewardship agreement provides two short lengths of permissive access. The permissive footpath in Palgrave links two existing Public Right of Way (PRoW) footpaths, creating circular walks around the village. The permissive path in Thrandeston links an existing PRoW footpath with Thrandeston Marsh, which is a registered common and an area of CROW Open Access land (Countryside & Rights of Way 200 act). Thrandeston Marsh is an interesting site for wildlife spotters with seasonally wet grassland supporting a wide range of wildflowers and a number of farmland birds including snip, lapwing and kingfisher.
