Country Walk & Ride Summary

Little Canfield Hall C near Great Dunmow

Little Cranfield Hall is a predominantly organic arable farm in the upper reaches of the River Rodding and straddles the new A120 dual carriageway. Permissive access is in two distinct parts. The first is to the north of the A120 and is a circular bridleway connected to existing bridleways to the north. This permissive bridleway follows a route around an area of grassland that has been reverted from arable land to protect the remains of a high status Roman farmstead. Please stay on the route marked on the maps to avoid damaging this site. The second part is in the south of the holding and is a permissive footpath allowing walkers access to the River Roding and connecting with existing footpaths to form a circular walk. In additionan an area of open access alongside the church has been made available for people to enjoy.
