Grasslees near Rothbury
This farm is on the fringe of the Simonside Hills a Special Area of Conservation over looking the Coquet Valley and in the Northumberland National Park. The access route provides a short walk along the Grasslees Burn with the option of taking another path up to the open hill. Spectacular views of Coquetdale and the Cheviot Hills are available to those taking the path up to Darden Lough. There are many interesting historical features on route and the surrounding countryside is rich in birdlife, wild flowers and woodland.
