Bradenham Hall Farms B near East Dereham
This site offers a large network of permissive access - some bridlepaths and others footpaths only - that offer safe alternative routes to local roadways for walkers and riders. They also connect with the Bradenham Parish Walk: further permissive footpaths provided by the landowner in agreement with Norfolk County Council over an area known as the Grazing Grounds.
Along the routes visitors can benefit from many far reaching views across farmland interspersed with some ancient woodland, where the landowner is also undertaking a range of management to conserve wildlife and historic sites. Many of the hedgerows are ancient and species rich and are managed to provide rich habitat for nesting and foraging habitat birds, like the bullfinch and turtle dove. Within fields plots of seed mixture and stubbles are retained among arable crops to improve habitat for partridges, linnets and yellowhammers.
