Wolf Hills near Coanwood (Haltwhistle)
A short section of path links Wolf Hills to Coldshield footpaths to the south with High Todhillwood and Low Ramshaw footpaths to the north, through grazed pasture land. It passes close to the ruined Burnt Walls Bastle. The west end of the bastle stands up to 1 metre high, with only the foundations of a contiguous second building surviving. During April to June, breeding birds, especially Lapwing and Redshank, can be seen in nearby pasture fields.
