Bonnyrigg near Hexham

This permissive route links into the 'Greenlee Lough Walk' promoted by the National park (www.nnpa.org.uk). The walk is quite a strenuous walk that takes in sections of the Pennine Way and the Hadrians's Wall Trail. Free Parking has been provided off the road into Gibbs Hill Farm just over the stream at grid ref NY747691, or you can park at the Steel Rigg car park. The walk is 7.5 miles in length and takes in some of Northumberland's most iconic landscapes.
