Country Walk Summary

Scamblesby near Louth

Rolling Wolds countryside provides a pleasant landscape in which to walk, ride and cycle. The pastureland of the open access on Park Hill (off the Viking Way) gives wide views North and West down the tributary valley of the River Bain and also across to Gaumer Hill and the Bluestone Heath ridge with its ancient cultivation terraces including the 'Lifts'(CSS). The permissive bridleway allows a mainly level round from Scamblesby, or via existing public rights of way, from Belchford.
