Stafford Brook near Rugeley

The route follows the edge of an arable field taking you close to Stafford Brook Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The site is of interest for a combination of carr woodland, acidic marshy grasslands and fen in the valley of the Stafford Brook, a tributary of the River Trent. The holding is covered by a Higher Level Stewardship agreement that is providing habitat for farmland birds, protecting the historic environment and restoring flower rich meadows.
