Hotbank Farm A near Haltwhistle
Hotbank Farm contains some of the most iconic views along Hadrian’s Wall. The landscape is designated for its archaeology, scenery, habitats, wildlife, and geology. A traditional working farm landscape, with native breed cattle and upland sheep, help manage this landscape to provide a wonderful outdoor experience. There are many walks linking to the site, including Hadrian’s Wall Path and the Pennine Way National Trails. Access options include an accessible path for visitors with limited mobility to view the landscape from Steel Rigg.

Accessibility Information Steel Rigg
A new ‘easy access’ path is provided from the Steel Rigg car parking area to a viewpoint overlooking the iconic landscape of the Roman Wall Loughs and Escarpments.
This short route is via a hard surface with gates that swing both ways, turning room and a gradient designed as suitable for those with limited mobility.
