Abbey Farm, Flitcham near Kings Lynn
This permissive open access in the village of Flitcham is provided as part of a wider Environmental Stewardship scheme to enhance and encourage Farmland wildlife. The open access allows visitors a chance to enjoy this open area, offering views across the farmland landscape and in particular observe a great variety of bird life. Birds regularly observed in the area include Little Owl, Barn Owl, Turtle Dove, Kingfisher, Skylark and Lapwing. In the winter months wildfowl gather on adjacent wet grasslands and ponds including large numbers of Pink-footed Geese. A hide is provided for visitors free of charge at Abbey Farm for members of the public to observe these bird species. Please keep dogs on leads to minimise disturbance to wildlife.
